My name is Diesel (b) - please adopt me

1 year old Diesel

Diesel is a handsome young lad; a lovely, dark black & tan short-coat. He is in good health and well behaved, calm and loving.

He barked when our volunteer rang the doorbell, but allowed him in giving the obligatory sniff; he was happy to be stroked and then lay
down quietly.

He has had Puppy TRAINING and responds to basic commands and to the recall off lead (unless distracted). He is well behaved in the home and house-trained. However, he is accustomed to enjoying some freedom around the house and ready access to outside in a secluded rural area.

Diesel will pull on the lead, particularly if distracted, but is used to walking off lead. However, he would require very little further training.

Diesel is good with people when out and about, but is protective of the home and will bark at callers. And, he can still nudge and nip strangers around the house and garden until he gets to know them but not aggressively. He soon settles down after meeting and greeting visitors.

Whilst Diesel doesn't live with any children, he has not been reactive to children when out and about.

Diesel is good with dogs and loves to meet and play with other dogs. He is still a pup, with a puppy's tendency to be a bit boisterous sometimes like most GSDs, enjoying a bit of rough and tumble.

He travels very well.

Diesel is being re-homed because his owner’s circumstances have changed significantly and, despite efforts to find a way, sadly can no longer keep him and must re-home him as a matter of urgency. He is a lovely dog, with no real faults and will make a wonderful companion.
