My name is Ben - please adopt me

Here is what our volunteer said about 6 year old Ben:

When I arrived to see Ben he was in the front garden with his owner he came to meet me at the gate in a calm friendly manner he didnt bark. His owner said he does bark in the house when someone comes to the door but
stops quickly. When I went through the gate Ben was happy to get a bit of attention from me before we went into the house.

Once inside Ben took a treat from me very gently and settled quickly. Ben has not had any formal traning but knows his basic commands so would benefit from further training.

Ben is good with people and children of all ages. But
would have to go to a home with older children as he's quite a big boy.

Ben pulls on the lead when he's out so he wears a halti.

He barks at other dogs on his walks so this would have to be worked on by his new owner. He hasn't lived with another dog but a relative visits with their dog and sometimes the dog stays overnight without incident.

Ben was his current owners late fathers dog and she is
struggling to cope with him she knows Ben would be better with someone who could give him more time and exercise.

Ben is a gentle big boy and is very laid back at home and would be a pleasure to have around.
