My name is Rocco - please adopt me

Rocco is a really affectionate gorgeous 18 month old neutered boy. His owners have made a really tough decision to re-home him as he seems to be stressed when he is left alone in the house and is a bit destructive. They have tried everything to help him but nothing has worked and they think a home where someone is with him most of the day would be the best thing for him.

When our volunteer visited Rocco she was met with a couple of unsure barks, but he allowed her to come in and sit down before coming to say hello cautiously and then giving her a kiss. Once he has said hello he settled down and was quite for the rest of the visit.

Rocco is very obedient, has a good recall and is good with other dogs after he has an initial bark from excitement at them.

He is well exercised but doesn't seem to like being alone in the house and chews things when his owners are at work. He recently stayed with family and their two dogs and was able to be left without any destruction, so another dog may also help his situation. Rocco is crate trained if he is required to be left for short periods in his new home

Outside, especially in the dark Rocco is timid of people in hats or wearing hoods. There was an incident recently which the rescue will provide more details about to anyone interested in Rocco

Dogs: Great with other dogs

Travelling: Rocco loves travelling in the car

Rocco is a really loving boy who will make someone a fantastic loyal companion, he just needs an understanding person who is home alot.
