Meet Missie a young (2 years old in July), petite, very pretty, black & tan semi coated entire female.

 As per the rehoming agreement, new owners would need to have Missie spayed once she is settled in the new home.

 When the volunteer entered the home, Missie barked and ran up (no jumping), she is nervous/anxious girl when she meets strangers but given a few minutes for Missie to complete her sniffing task, she soon settled and was taking treats gently from the volunteer and showing them her tricks of giving a paw, dancing and turning around (twist/spin).

Missie is a girl who needs reassurance that the world isn't a bad place and a family who would be home most of the day as she doesn't like to be left alone for long periods and will chew items in the home. Lives with children and used to visiting children in the home (rehoming guidelines children to be over 10 years old).

Current owners have been working with a local trainer over the last 10 months and they have seen a lot of positive changes in Missie with her walking on a lead, recall but due to work/family circumstances Missie is being left for long periods and this is contributing to her nervous/anxious behaviour, she would be best placed in a home where the family are at home most of the day and continue her socialisation skills with people/dogs and build up to leaving her for short periods of time.

When out walking, Missie is on a figure of 8 slip lead, as she does react to other dogs if they are too close, if they are on the other side of the street, she looks at them without barking. People she ignores and doesn't pull on the lead when no other dogs are around. She has been off lead in the local parks/forests and met other dogs she doesn't know without barking at them.

Travels well in the car, at the start of a journey will bark at passing dogs, on the way home after her adventures she is fast a sleep.

 Missie is a very sweet, petite girl looking for a family to love, go on adventures and help her build up her confidence in the outside world - can you be that family?
