CAMMY’S STORY….SO FAR!

Helloooo everybody! Well, a lot has happened since my last update but the best thing is….I’m in my forever home!!!!!! But before I tell you all about my new family, I want to slobbery lick some very special people. Firstly, I want to lick everybody at German Shepherd Rescue Scotland – without you, I wouldn’t be here today, sprawled on the sofa, having loads of cuddles. You are all amazing, you do loads of stuff, not just for me but for all of us rescue GSD’s, you put up with our tantrums, and calm us when we’re worried, you fix us when we’re poorly (like me) but most importantly, you love all of us unconditionally and do everything you can to help us get forever homes and I’m sure all my kennel friends will get their new homes soon. So massive slobbery kisses to all of you there!

I also want to lick EVERYBODY who contributed to the fund that let me get my operations. Your incredible generosity is now letting me live my best life! Slobbery kisses to each and every one of you. I also want to lick the Vets – yes, I know us doggos don’t normally like the dreaded V word, but you helped me to poop right! So, I’m sending slobbery kisses your way too.

Now for my new family! My new parents have had GSD’s forever and their sons (my new best buddies) are great fun. I know I can be a handful (paw’s up – I’m just reeeaaallly excited) but my new family have loads of patience and I now don’t pull on my lead as I have loads of new toys that I love to carry on my adventures. I’m still restricted to two small adventures a day, but if I keep being a very good boy (their words, not mine), it won’t be for long. I now live on the West Coast, near a beach – and I lurrrrvve to paddle in the sea. I also have a new friend that lives with me – an African Grey Parrot! He has already learned to say my name and will tell me to sit. It’s very strange having a wee birdie talk to you I can tell you! My parents lost their previous good boys last year - Teddy, an old, white shepherd like me and Thor, a big, soft, long-haired sable. They were rescues, just like me and they were very special too and dearly loved. I’ve been here nearly 2 weeks now and am loving it. I go on walks every day with all my family, I sit on the sofa with them for loads of cuddles, I’ve a gazillion new toys, I love laying in front of the fire for a snooze, my bed is in my parents’ bedroom, so I feel extra safe at night, and I know everybody loves me for me.

I’ll keep you posted in the coming weeks on my continuing adventures and will get my parents to send some pictures too – my paws are a bit too big to type! Slobbery, slobbery, licky lick, Cammy xx
