We thought we should let you know what information we collect from you and how it is then used German Shepherd Rescue Scotland is a dog rescue charity rehoming German Shepherd dogs all over Scotland. We are registerd with the charities commission and our Scottish charity number is SCO41384. We are also registered with companies houses as a not for profit company, our number is SC337396.

What personal information we collect and what we do with it
Adoption forms, volunteering forms, rehoming forms and purchasing merchandise all require your personal details including and similar to your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. These details will only be used by representitives of German Shepherd Rescue Scotland for the purpose of assessing homes, assessing dogs, rehoming dogs or sending you merchandise form our website shop.
We retain this information for the life of the dog if you are the previous owner. For the life of the adopted dog as the new owner, and for the period of your volunteering if you volunteer for us.
None of this information will be released, sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside of German Shepherd Rescue Scotland.
Credit Card Details
Payment details, including name, surname, billing address and debit and credit card information, submitted to German shepherd Rescue Scotland ("Payment Details") will be processed by our online payment providers - Paypal and Virgin Money - who will both process, store and transfer such information outside of the EU in accordance with their own privacy policy. Please note that the German Shepherd Rescue Scotland does not accept any responsibility or liability for CyberSource's privacy policy. By submitting your Payment Details you consent to such transfer, storage and processing by PayPal and/or Virgin money. All payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. German Shepherd Rescue Scotland and Paypal will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely. Certain Payment Details will be retained by German Shepherd Rescue Scotland for administrative and legal purposes and will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy. These Payment Details will be stored on PayPal servers for approximately 6 months after the expiration of any purchased vouchers and thereafter thePayment Details will be deleted from the PayPal servers.
