Fawkes is a compact and good-looking short-coated sable boy who is coming up to 6 years old. He is lively and friendly; he loves to interact with people but sometimes gets a little over-excited and will jump up. Fawkes knows all his basic commands and walks reasonably well on the lead with good engagement.
His play style is boisterous and not suitable for a home with children or regularly visiting small ones.
Fawkes has never shown any aggression, but he does grumble about being dried or brushed so new owners need to have the experience manage this. He has never lived with another dog and has had limited interaction outside. He has played well with females but has got into a couple of minor scraps with other young males so is generally kept away.
He has been taught to move aside and sit to allow dogs to pass.
Fawkes is fully house-trained; he does not chew anything other than toys and is fine to be left for short periods. He loves going in the car and settles well until he recognises a favoured destination.
Fawkes is being rehomed because of a change in family circumstances which mean his owners feel that he is not getting the amount of mental stimulation and exercise that he needs to thrive.
