We lost our 12 year old german sheperd earlier in the year, she was a lovely dog and a huge miss. After a few months we found the house just too empty and missed having a dog around so decided to adopt through German Shepherd Rescue Scotland. After our home visit was completed we kept an eye on the web site and were lucky enough to spot Zeus just as he went on the site. We arranged to meet him on a Saturday at the kennels and we knew immediately he was for us, a big handsome boy with a very relaxed and affectionate nature. We picked him up on the Sunday and took him home where he settled in straight away.

We have had Zeus now for a couple of months and could not be happier with him. His nature is perfect, all the family love him and he is popular with everyone who meets him. He was slightly overweight when we picked him up and needed a bit of grooming after spending a bit of time in the kennels. He has now lost a few kg and is getting quite fit and enjoys good walks around the area we live in with plenty of forest trails. A couple of trips to the groomer and he is now looking very smart as you can see from the picture. We also arranged for a dog trainer to visit for a course of training and he is learning the basics around responding to commands and walks better on the lead. Still some work to do but no rush.

Zeus has filled our house up again and put a big smile on our faces.

We thought the whole process of getting vetted and then the care taken by German Shepherd Rescue Scotland to place dogs in need with the right owner to be very impressive and want to thank all the team for their dedication and for finding us the perfect pet.
