Skye is petite and pretty; a white short-coated 4-year-old girl. She is full of energy and very affectionate. She has been in her current home for 2 years; she has been spayed and is fully house trained. Skye knows basic commands and is well-behaved in the house.
Skye has never lived with children but is great with her current owner’s grandchildren when they come to stay and is friendly with people outside too. She is fine to be left for short periods and does not chew or bark. She loves going in the car but occasionally gets travel sick on windy roads.
Skye likes to walk out front and will sometimes pull on the lead but can be corrected. She does however want to play with every dog that she sees and will try to get to them. She has no fear or aggression, but her play style is too full on and boisterous for most dogs, so she is very rarely able to interact. If another dog does bark or growl at her she is submissive. Skye has been fine with visiting family dogs. Skye is mostly only off lead when there is no one else around, she loves to chase a ball, and her recall is good unless she spots another dog when she will run off to approach them.
Skye is a much-loved pet who is being reluctantly re-homed because health issues within the family are making it difficult to cope with her obsession with other dogs outside. New owners would need the energy and experience to show Skye that life is more rewarding if she ignores other dogs on leash, and to teach her when and how to play appropriately.
