8 year old Heidi is a lovely senior lady looking for a fireplace to cosy up in front of for the rest of her days.
Our volunteer knew they were at the correct house when they knocked on the door and the GSD bark could be heard, however once the door was opened and the volunteer invited in, Heidi was curious as to who this stranger was, she was offered a gravy bone which she took gently and when the volunteer sat down she came and sat beside them, enjoying being stroked and getting the attention.
The volunteer went on a walk with Heidi, she walked nicely on her harness, she did walk out in front, but didn't pull. She wasn't phased by a dog on the other side of the road and walked passed calmly. She isnt keen on other dogs if they bark at her.
She walked passed cyclists, teenagers and never batted an eyelid, she walked to the beach where she found treasure of a stone and carried this home with her. When they returned to her house, she lay on her bed.
Heidi is used to young children being around (per rescue rules she will not be rehomed with young children) and is nice and calm with them.
Heidi is being rehomed through no fault of her own, her owner sadly passed away last year and the owners family are struggling to give her what she needs as they both work full time, they feel it is unfair on Heidi to be left so long and want to see her go to a loving home where she will get the attention she deserves.
Can you give the olderly lady her forever home.
