First of all we would like to say a big thank you to all of our volunteers for their continued support and take this opportunity to welcome all of our new volunteers.
Dog stroller for loan
We have been donated a GSD sized pet stroller and are renting it out in memory of Buzz who enjoyed his time in it. It would need to be picked up (and returned) to East Lothian for a donation (and a returnable deposit).
If you know a dog that might be struggling to walk but still enjoys its days out then this could be the answer.
We also rent out dog wheels which have been donated to us. All subject to availability

Alcohol and gift appeal
We are doing an appeal for unwanted alcohol and other unwanted gifts for our show raffle and tombola. We are asking early so we can collect before we are too busy. If you have any unwanted and unopened bottles or gifts that you would like to donate please get intouch. Thanks

Cammy is in his new home!
CAMMY’S STORY….SO FAR!
Helloooo everybody! Well, a lot has happened since my last update but the best thing is….I’m in my forever home!!!!!! But before I tell you all about my new family, I want to slobbery lick some very special people. Firstly, I want to lick everybody at German Shepherd Rescue Scotland – without you, I wouldn’t be here today, sprawled on the sofa, having loads of cuddles. You are all amazing, you do loads of stuff, not just for me but for all of us rescue GSD’s, you put up with our tantrums, and calm us when we’re worried, you fix us when we’re poorly (like me) but most importantly, you love all of us unconditionally and do everything you can to help us get forever homes and I’m sure all my kennel friends will get their new homes soon. So massive slobbery kisses to all of you there!
I also want to lick EVERYBODY who contributed to the fund that let me get my operations. Your incredible generosity is now letting me live my best life! Slobbery kisses to each and every one of you. I also want to lick the Vets – yes, I know us doggos don’t normally like the dreaded V word, but you helped me to poop right! So, I’m sending slobbery kisses your way too.
Now for my new family! My new parents have had GSD’s forever and their sons (my new best buddies) are great fun. I know I can be a handful (paw’s up – I’m just reeeaaallly excited) but my new family have loads of patience and I now don’t pull on my lead as I have loads of new toys that I love to carry on my adventures. I’m still restricted to two small adventures a day, but if I keep being a very good boy (their words, not mine), it won’t be for long. I now live on the West Coast, near a beach – and I lurrrrvve to paddle in the sea. I also have a new friend that lives with me – an African Grey Parrot! He has already learned to say my name and will tell me to sit. It’s very strange having a wee birdie talk to you I can tell you! My parents lost their previous good boys last year - Teddy, an old, white shepherd like me and Thor, a big, soft, long-haired sable. They were rescues, just like me and they were very special too and dearly loved. I’ve been here nearly 2 weeks now and am loving it. I go on walks every day with all my family, I sit on the sofa with them for loads of cuddles, I’ve a gazillion new toys, I love laying in front of the fire for a snooze, my bed is in my parents’ bedroom, so I feel extra safe at night, and I know everybody loves me for me.
I’ll keep you posted in the coming weeks on my continuing adventures and will get my parents to send some pictures too – my paws are a bit too big to type! Slobbery, slobbery, licky lick, Cammy xx

HNY 2023
Wishing each and every one of our supporters and volunteers a Happy New Year. You all helped us get through 2022 a tough year.
We are especially grateful to the astounding donations we have received to help sweet boy Cammy who is still.being cared for in the vet to make sure he heals up.
Wishing you all a wonderful 2023 and hoping our dogs can all find their forever homes this new year. Please bear with us when we start our rehoming process again as it will take a bit of time to get through all the applications.
Hope you all have a lovely peaceful new year.
Oh and pop Saturday 29th July 2023 in your diary for our Vogrie show.
Thank you our Tellahassee friends
CAMMY'S VET BILL FUNDRAISER
**FUNDRAISER FOR CAMMYS VET BILLS **
Cammy is a beautiful happy 6 year old long coat GSD who is looking for his forever home. Since he arrived at the kennels in August 2022 where it was quickly apparent he had problems going to the toilet.
Cammy seemed to strain having a poo and nothing much ever came out. The local vet struggled to identify what was going on with Cammy and he was put through several tests. The cost of these soon mounted up. None of the tests were conclusive so Cammy was recently referred to the specialist vet at a cost of £1k.
He has now been diagnosed with a double perennial hernia which requires corrective surgery. The vet has also advised neutering at the same time and wants him to stay at the practice for at least 2 nights after surgery. His operation will be an additional cost of £3500. Totalling £5k.
This is a real strain on the rescue at a tough time of the year for us but we will always do whatever is needed for the dogs in our care. Cammy is such a sweet boy who will be looking for his forever home once his recovery is complete. If you can help us with the cost of Cammy's vet bill we would be extremely grateful.

In memory of Jack
Our thanks goes to Robert Narloch who recently walked for us and raised £630 in memory of Gorgeous GSRS Boy Jack who recently went to the rainbow bridge. We are extremely grateful and this will be put to great use saving other dogs in Jacks memory.
We have several dogs in our kennels, one who suffers from EPI and needs specialist meds. Every little penny that our supporters raise for us goes in to funding our kennels, vet bills and food.
2022 Show results
WOW just WOW
2022's show has far exceeded all of our expectations. You have helped us raise £7700 and we can't thank you enough.
To all our volunteers and helpers on the day (there are far too many to name you all, but you know who you are) you helped us set up, kept the stalls and activities running, and helped us pack up at the end of the night. THANK YOU ALL. Without you there would be no show!
Thanks to all our stall holders, K9 Manhunt & ScentWork Scotland for their demo, our class sponsors, everyone who donated prizes and home baking, the ladies in the entries tent (who worked their socks of this year), John our First aider, our judges (who all had an impossible task on their hands), George our compere for keeping everyone right.
A very special mention to Nadia from Yellow Dog photography who worked here absolute socks off taking photographs for everyone ALL day and sent EVERY penny our way. We really appreciate and love you loads
And finally THANK YOU ALL for coming along and supporting us. There's no show without participants and you made it extra special this year so thanks each and everyone of you.
Until next year.........
